Did you see mommy kissing Santa Claus? If she was kissing this particular “Fashion Santa,” who could blame her?
In 2015, the Yorkdale mall in Toronto hired Canadian male model, Paul Mason, to be the official Santa Claus for its holiday season’s meet-and-greets. But don’t let the Salvatore Ferragamo scarves fool you, this Fashion Santa is all about embracing the giving spirit of the holidays. For every selfie taken with this stylish Santa and posted on social media with the hashtag #FashionSanta, the Yorkdale mall donated $1 to Sick Kids Foundation.
“His crisp white beard, perfectly polished outfits and undeniable charm make him one of our favorite things about the season,” said the team at the Yorkdale mall. Scroll down to the bottom to see a ton of photos of the guy who was tasked with deciding whether you had been naughty or nice. 😈
This hot Santa did not wear any old red polyester suit. No way. Fashion Santa had a handsome face and a killer wardrobe – think Burberry topcoats, John Varvatos wool pants and Givenchy boots. Let’s just say, this sexy Santa made everyone, regardless of age, want to sit on his skinny-jean’d lap.
Since their sensational partnership that went viral, Paul Mason and the Yorkdale mall have parted ways. For last year’s Fashion Santa campaign, Yorkdale replaced Paul with a model in his mid-30s, Adam Martin.
This year, Yorkdale has hired a new male model to take selfies as Fashion Santa. If you live in Toronto, you can go pose with this more-rock-star Santa on Saturday, December 2 from noon to 6pm. The guy playing Santa may have changed, but the spirit remains the same: Yorkdale mall will donate $1 for every selfie shared using #YorkdaleFashionSanta2017.
As for the OG Fashion Santa, Paul Mason has gone on to reprise his role in Toronto’s Holiday Fair in Nathan Phillips Square and for a promotional campaign, as Mr. Claus, for Mexican department store, El Palacio de Hierro.
Fashion Santa is not the only sexy Santa we’d wish would climb down our chimney on Christmas Eve. In 2012 the band Father Tiger released a music video featuring a lumbersexual Santa that definitely put us on the naughty list that year.
