Berlin is a dynamic city where nothing is ever done half-assed. To that end, it’s no surprise that the Berlin Zoo has become Europe’s most-visited animal sanctuary.
The world-class Berlin Zoo prides itself on intimately showcasing the world’s most exotic animals. You’ll be so close to the uncaged gorillas that they might even make eye contact. More impressively, the animals are also not as segregated from one another. The arctic wolves get to see the brown bear roaming around near their pen – and they can’t contain their curiosity.
Even though it takes up over 86 acres and houses over 20,000 animals, the Berlin Zoo is not unnecessarily sprawling, either. You’ll get to see elephants, giraffes and pink flamingos even if you spend less than an hour inside. The zoo is located inside the Tiergarten, Berlin’s grand park.
