It’s safe to say that Beyoncé has the best taste money can buy. And the pop star’s recent choice of headphones only confirms that fact. In her most recent visual album, Lemonade, Beyoncé is seen sporting a pair of $549 Pryma headphones, which we were #blessed enough to try on for ourselves. And they are just as stunning and stylish in real-life 🙌Last year, we were tasked with finding the coolest pair of headphones and our standards were very, very high. We tried dozens of premium headphones but none of them made our hearts flutter the way the Pryma headphones did. As soon as we opened the box, we were in love. Apparently, Pryma left an impression on Beyoncé as well, because she wore them while shooting the “Sandcastles” music video in Lemonade. The Pryma headphones practically redefine what a stylish pair of headphones can be. Each pair is hand-made by Italian artisans using genuine leather, die-cast aluminum, copper and stainless steel. These pricey headphones come in five color variations: Coffee & Cream, Pure Black, Heavy Gold, Carbon Marsala (Bey’s choice) and Rose Gold & Grey (like the ones we tried on). Can’t decide on a color scheme? The headbands are interchangeable, if you can spare an additional $75 to get a second one. And each aluminum earcup is detachable. Just snap it out of its buckle-style attachment and you can pass it to a friend to let them listen in to your music. We wore the Pryma headphones while cleaning the bathroom, and we’ve never felt as empowered.
Beyoncé’s headphones are not just a style statement, however. Engineered by the high-end audiomakers at Sonus Faber, the audio quality is robust and warm. And unlike other big-sound headphones we tried, Pryma doesn’t let much noise escape the earcups — so you won’t have coworkers asking you to turn your volume down after they realize you’ve been listening to “Formation” on repeat.
