[dropcap background=”yes” color=”#333333″ size=”50px”]S[/dropcap]an Francisco’s drag art party, Some Thing, kicked off the New Year with a blockbuster: a drag show performance of every song from the new Beyoncé album. Over 200 guests waited in line at The Stud on Friday, January 3 (including me) to see their favorite outlandish hair-flipping drag queens take on an unprecedented, over-the-top Beyoncé tribute. Nightlife photographers Kegan Marling and Mr. Pam were kind enough to send me some photos and videos. Watch the video above to see all the queens onstage; the video below gives us a glimpse at all the fun time these gals were having backstage.

I was there with my boo Denys, friends Grant, Currin, Jerome and Jonathan. Other friends in attendance: Hard French’s Tom Temprano, Rookie‘s Caitlin Donohue, Looking writer JC Lee, Bold Italic‘s Stephen Torres, Asterisk magazine co-founder Alex Winter, queer femme it-girl Aimee Forster and Modesto’s hottie with a body Pablo Escobar. DJ Sergio Fedasz and Steve Fabus of GO BANG! kept the crowd “flawless” until closing time.
