Generation Read: Millennials Are Book Buyers at Heart

A couple of months I came across an article in Good citing the book-buying habits broken down by generation. Turns out, people born between 1979 and 1989 accounted for 30% of all book purchases in 2011. More than any other generation, including those self-centered baby boomers with far more disposable income.

Hopefully we will continue to lead in becoming a literate nation and take our shopping purchases to independent bookstores, to help support small business in America.

BOY TOYS TALK BACK: Why do you think people are embracing books more than their elderly counterparts?

We Boomers have horded so many books we have little room left or money to buy many more. Sigh.
